ALCOHOL STATISTICS, UNDERAGE DRINKING, EATING DISORDERS, SUBSTANCE ABUSE - AD INFINITUM

The fact of the matter is that mankind (and that includes women and kids too), is very attracted to changing the way we feel through the use of various substances, be that pharmaceutical medicines, illegal street drugs, foods, nicotine addiction, and any other means that give us a lasting comfort or buzz.

Addicted to more dot com is a site published by a recovered (or should that be recovering!) alcoholic, but also a person that seems to be addicted to more of most things bad. Like most people who obsessed with mind altering substances, the author is cross-addicted although the preferred choice of escapism had been for many years through legally acquired alcohol.

If you too were once addicted and have found your solution, a new and meaningful way of life, and would like to share your experience by having your story published (openly or anonymously) on this site, then please contact us here so that we can consider your piece.

Addicted to More – More about Mind Altering and why this Site was Published.

Although most of us addictive types know of the dangers of overindulgence and lack of moderation, still we ignore the warnings. In many cases, those of us who seem to have what the medical profession refer to as 'addictive personalities' have little or no respect for knowledge alone.

The power of our mental obsession and physical cravings for whatever it is that makes us feel better, be that feelings of high, low, oblivion, or just plain ole relaxation, are usually so strong that literally years can be squandered away by underachieving, poor health, premature aging, and an almost certain premature death should we chose not to seek help before it's too late.

Those in society (who are the majority), don't understand people like us because they are not wired up in the same way. Our sorts desperately seek escapism because we lack natural clear-headedness and balance and so find no comfort in living normally.

Drug and Alcohol Statistics | Overeating - Under Eating...

We may well know the best way to quit smoking cigarettes, but that doesn't mean we'll get past the knowing stage. We may also understand the smoking health risks of second hand smoking, and although concerned by our seemingly selfish actions, continue to share our smouldering tobacco around others.

Drug and Alcohol Statistics along with Overeating or Under Eating is not just an Adult Problem

There's nothing new in mid to late teen drinking binges as teenage drinking has been with us since man first crushed grapes. But what is worrying is the upward trend in early teen drinking. That's not just under age drinking but pre-teen alcohol addiction.

Teenage drinkers have always been a part of the alcohol facts, but recent and grim alcohol statistics show that underage drinking is on the up, oddly enough more so with girls than with boys. The same can be said for eating disorders, smoking, and various substance abuse among minors.

The dangers of alcohol, smoking, eating disorders, drug abuse, and not to mention drinking and driving fatalities, have to be somehow a sign of the times if the stastical trends are on the increase, but as the problems get more, the solutions become less.

If there's one thing we know here at Addictedtomore.com and that is support is the best solution period. And when that support comes from others who can relate and share their experiences and hope with fellow sufferers, the better that support becomes.

A problem shared is a problem halved. But a problem shared with those who have been where you are now, has an even more powerful affect.

So we ask again, if you too were once addicted to anything and have found your solution, a new and meaningful way of life, and would like to help others who might come across this site by sharing your experience by having your story published (openly or anonymously) on this site, then please contact us here so that we can consider your piece for publication
